VHF Vertical2 viewsDarin found this antenna at a muffler shop. The shop owner had no use for it and let him take it. We used the MFJ-259 to determine the antenna was resonant on 2 meter AND 6 meter. From this height though, we were able to hit a few repeaters using a dummy load!

David on 20 meter2 viewsOur morning contacts included many stations in San Diego, Riverside and Orange County. We also made contact with Chicago, IL and Louisville KY.

Antenna Setup and View Finders1 viewsWe mounted the ABS pipe to, what we were surprised to encounter, stainless steel view finders. The finders are just simple pipe without lenses. They point to several view points, such as downtown LA and Mt. Palomar.
